JOB DESCRIPTION: The Rigger Foreman responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Manage deck operations during either pipe lay or construction modes of operation
  • Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in all rigging and lifting activities, to ensure compliance with safety procedures and method statements. Familiar with heavy lift plans and procedures
  • Control all crane lifting operations, or designate the same to qualified others
  • Control or designate all mooring operations of the barge during set up and recoveries
  • Ensure there are adequate, qualified crews to carry out safe and efficient operations
  • Responsible for refusing unsafe work and for carrying out all work in accordance with the established HSES Safety Standards and Work Practices
  • Ensuring that all activities are undertaken in accordance with all safety and quality requirements
  • Organizing and distributing above deck activities with Rigging Crews
  • Following all company policies and procedures, an ensuring junior reports do the same.


  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the offshore construction industry
  • Knowledge and experience in Marine and Subsea operations with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role on a DP construction vessel
  • High school graduate
  • Must be proficient with basic computer skills
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Recognized training in Rigging, Lifting & Slinging and Wire Rope Inspection
  • Ability to lead teams with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Valid Offshore Medical
  • BOSIET Training or Equivalent (OPITO approved)
  • Fluent both in spoken and written English

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: AED3,500.00 to AED4,000.00 /month
