About Our Client:
Our client holds a significant position in the banking and finance industry based in Saudi Arabia and is currently looking for a well-experienced Data Engineer to enhance the productivity & growth of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design reusable and scalable data paths for structured and unstructured data.
- Supervise the implementation of data paths, conduct tests, and enhance activities periodically.
- Communicate with business units to understand the size and complexity of existing data sources and storage systems, ensuring implementation.
- Ensure data availability and accessibility for business users from the data storage center (data lake/data warehouse).
- Develop and document instructions and best practices for business units using data from a data warehousing center.
- Identify and propose solutions to improve the data engineering process.
- Provide support to business units, solving data challenges they may face.
- Develop and implement an open data program at the Saudi Energy Efficiency Center (SEEC).
- Prepare and implement the roadmap for open data initiatives, defining requirements and monitoring program progress.
- Coordinate with representatives of business units to receive contributions to the open data program.
- Supervise the processing of requests for access to public information in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Document records of freedom of information requests and ensure the publication of requested information.
- Perform any other work assigned within the limits of duties and responsibilities.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
- 5+ years of practical experience in data management and engineering.
- Teamwork, leadership, communication, organizing, and planning skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good knowledge of computer programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- Intermediate level in the English language.
- Programming skills (Java, R Language, Scala).
- Skills in data transformation tools (e.g., HDF, Talend, Informatica, Pentaho).
- Advanced level in the English language.
- Project management skills.
- Agile and flexible working methods skills.
