About Our Client:
Our client is a leading organization in the finance and banking sector, setting the industry standards for excellence in Dubai. The client is seeking a skilled SQL Database Administrator (DBA). They represent an organization committed to innovation and maintaining the highest standards of data integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
As a SQL Database Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our organization’s databases’ optimal performance, integrity, and security. Your responsibilities will include:
- Database Maintenance: Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as backups, restores, and monitoring to guarantee data availability and reliability.
- Performance Tuning: Identify and address performance issues, optimize queries, and collaborate with development teams to enhance overall database efficiency.
- Security Management: Implement and maintain database security protocols, including access controls and encryption, to safeguard sensitive data from unauthorized access.
- Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve database-related issues promptly, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operation.
- Capacity Planning: Proactively assess and plan for database growth, ensuring scalability to meet future business needs.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of Experience in SQL Server database administration.
- Experience with data administration, data modeling, and relational database design.
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience with data modeling in large Data warehousing, data lake environment
- Architect, develop and maintain an enterprise data warehouse
- Knowledge of MS SQL Server, SSIS, and SSRS.
- Develops and maintains system documentation, guidelines, and presentations.
- Design and implement robust end-to-end ETL pipelines Create and manage ETL data pipelines
- Integrate data from the data warehouse into 3rd party tools to make data actionable
- Configure and maintain database servers and processes, monitor system health and performance, ensuring high levels of performance, availability, and security.
- Knowledge of Hadoop, Hive, HBase, and Pig scripting
- Preparing and maintaining storage management plans and disaster recovery support.
- Manage the deployment of database scripts in development, test, and production environments.
- Strong communication skills to support all project phases, particularly technical and business requirement discussions.
- Self-motivated, organized, independent, and proactive.
