About our client:
Our client is a renowned healthcare provider based in Riyadh, KSA, known for its outstanding patient care and medical services. The institution is looking for an experienced geriatric psychiatrist to join their team to provide specialised mental health care for the elderly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat mental health issues such as dementia, depression, and anxiety in elderly patients.
- Perform comprehensive assessments, including medical histories and mental status examinations.
- Create and manage personalised treatment plans that may involve medication, psychotherapy, and other interventions.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate and guide patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatments.
- Stay informed about the latest developments and research in geriatric psychiatry.
- Provide consultation and on-call services as required.
- Maintain thorough and accurate patient records in accordance with healthcare regulations.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in geriatric psychiatry.
- Medical degree with a specialisation in psychiatry.
- Valid certification in psychiatry, with a focus on geriatric psychiatry, is preferred.
- Valid licence to practice medicine in Saudi Arabia.
- Strong diagnostic skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
