About our client
Our highly respected client is looking for a proactive and experienced Audit Manager to lead their Audit Team. They continually strive to enhance their audit practices while building strong, strategic relationships with clients, stakeholders, and potential partners.
Responsibilities
As an Audit Manager, you will be responsible for,
- Practical knowledge of International Auditing Standards (ISAs) and IFRS and IAS, at least 8 years of post-qualification experience and minimum 4 years in managerial roles.
- Have hands-on experience on leading group companies audit, including consolidation and combined financial statements.
- It should be the first point of contact for all audit clients.
- Understanding the scope of audit and other Agreed Upon Procedure (AUP) assignments and assigning the appropriate team depending upon the client’s nature of business and risk assessment.
- Responsible for planning, directing, managing, and supervising all the audit assignments.
- Plan and allocate resources and individuals in accordance with skills and schedules.
- Review the audit file on an ongoing basis and guide team at regular intervals.
- Drafting of audit report, IA report, AUP report and other deliverables based on the review of the files and present it to the Partners for discussion and finalization.
- Ensure all engagements are managed effectively from start to finish while exceeding our client’s expectations.
- Prepare a summary of key audit findings and how these have been appropriately addressed through audit procedures and conclusion drawn thereon.
- Review the Management Letter prepared in line with ISA 260 and ISA 265 by the audit team before discussion with the Engagement Partner and clients governance body.
- Conduct frequent training and knowledge sharing sessions to audit teams on relevant and current development in ISAs, IFRSs and IASs.
- Update, revise and improve existing audit procedures and programs in line with current best practices.
- Evaluate and provide feedback on staff performance on an audit project basis as well as on an overall basis.
- Maintain healthy and cordial relationship with clients and the audit team for smooth functioning of development of business. Also resolve conflicts between audit team and client on any significant findings
- May have to lead special projects on a needy basis due to nature and the complexity of the assignments.
- Manage the audit team with effective utilization of resources while maintaining the high quality of work and the client’s deadline.
Requirements
As an Audit Manager, you should have,
- Proficient knowledge of IAS and IFRSs.
- Reasonable experience with audit methodologies and techniques.
- Prior success conducting external or internal audits.
- Good written and oral communication ability and able to handle work pressure during peak seasons.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA equivalent required.
- 8+ years of hands-on accountancy and auditing experience post qualifications.
