About our client:
Our client is in search of a highly skilled and passionate Specialist Thoracic Surgeon to join their medical team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a Specialist Thoracic Surgeon, you will play a pivotal role in our surgical team, specializing in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of diseases affecting the chest, including the lungs, esophagus, and mediastinum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform complex thoracic surgical procedures with precision and expertise, including lung resections, esophagectomies, mediastinal tumor resections, and other thoracic surgeries.
- Conduct thorough pre-operative evaluations, including patient history reviews, diagnostic tests, and consultations, to determine the most appropriate surgical approach for each patient.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including oncologists, pulmonologists, radiologists, and other specialists, to ensure comprehensive patient care and treatment plans.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior medical staff, including residents and fellows, fostering an environment of continuous learning and skill development in thoracic surgery.
- Engage in research activities, contribute to academic publications, and participate in clinical trials to advance the field of thoracic surgery.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records, ensuring compliance with institutional protocols and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Completion of specialized residency training in Thoracic Surgery.
- Board certification or equivalent in Thoracic Surgery.
- Demonstrated expertise in performing a wide range of thoracic surgical procedures.
- Minimum 2 years of experience practicing as a Thoracic Surgeon.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in English; proficiency in Arabic is advantageous.
- Valid license to practice as a Thoracic Surgeon in Saudi Arabia or eligibility to obtain one.
