About Our Client:
Our client is a logistics and supply chain company focused on expanding its footprint in international trade and import services. This role plays a pivotal part in driving import sales strategy, building key global partnerships, and leading a performance-driven sales team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to grow import sales and increase revenue
- Identify and establish relationships with international clients, suppliers, and key stakeholders
- Conduct market research to explore growth opportunities within the import sector
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and trade terms with clients and global suppliers
- Ensure compliance with import regulations, customs documentation, and trade policies
- Coordinate with internal teams (operations, finance) for smooth transaction execution
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends to optimize sales strategy
- Represent the company at trade shows, client meetings, and industry networking events
- Generate sales reports and provide performance insights to senior management
- Lead and mentor the import sales team toward achieving departmental goals
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, International Trade, Logistics, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in import sales, preferably within logistics or supply chain
- In-depth knowledge of import procedures, documentation, and global trade compliance
- Familiarity with INCOTERMS, customs regulations, and freight terms
- Strong network of suppliers, trade partners, and freight stakeholders
- Excellent negotiation, leadership, and relationship management skills
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
- Willingness to travel as required
